Revised Waterline Tie-In Shut Off Notice dated May 23, 2024.

Please be advised that water service will be shut-off affecting the residents of 9th Street from Parriott Avenue to Henrietta Avenue, 10th Street from Parriott Avenue to Garfield Avenue, and from 1318 Ruby Street to Parriott Avenue on Thursday, May 23rd from 8:00am to 3:00pm.

A 48 hour boil order will be in effect upon restoration of water service.

The water service will be shut off on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 from 8:00am to 3:00pm so the contractor can complete a tie-in to the main waterline on 9th Street and Ash Avenue. The shut off will affect the customers on Ninth Street residing between Parriott Avenue and Henrietta Avenue, the customers on Tenth Street residing between Parriott Avenue and Garfield Avenue, and the customers who reside from 1318 Ruby Street to Parriott Avenue.

The shut-off is necessary to connect the new waterline into the existing waterline. We realize the shut-off will be an inconvenience to the customers in that area, but the new waterline will offer more stable service with better fire protection for the residents of that area.

For our customers’ protection, a 48 hour boil order will be in place following the restoration of water service until sample results are received from the lab in Wheeling. Notification will be sent out as soon as the boil order is lifted.

We are sorry for any disruption this will cause to our customers.

Sincerely,

The Moundsville Water Board
