Boil Order - Lifted

Please be advised that the 48 hour boil order for the Moundsville Plaza at 1200-1300 Lafayette Avenue and Geno’s Play Grounds at 610 Twelfth Street has been Lifted.

Water service was shut off on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 to the Moundsville Plaza and the Geno’s Play Grounds beside the Plaza so a contractor could repair a broken main waterline on the Moundsville Plaza property. This affected all of the stores/businesses/restaurants in the Moundsville Plaza strip mall. The Guest House was not affected by the water service interruption.

For the protection of the citizens of Moundsville, a 48 hour boil order was put in place following the restoration of water service until verified sample results were received from the lab in Wheeling.

We just received word that the sample has cleared and the Boil Order is lifted.
