Boil Order Lifted

Please be advised that the 48 hour boil order for Poplar Avenue from First Street to Hancock Street has been Lifted.

The water service had to be shut off during the overnight hours on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 for the Moundsville Water Board Maintenance Crew to repair a leak of the 2-½ inch main water line on Poplar Avenue. The Maintenance Crew completed the repairs needed and returned water service to all customers as quickly as possible.

For our customers’ protection, a 48 hour boil order was put in place following the restoration of water service until sample results were received from the lab in Wheeling.

We just received word that the sample cleared; the Boil Order is lifted.

We do this to ensure that our customers are receiving the safest and best quality of water available.
