Boil Order Lifted

Please be advised that the 48 hour boil order for Elm Avenue from First Street to Walnut Avenue has been Lifted.

Water service was shut off on February 17th, 2026 to Elm Avenue from First Street to Walnut Avenue in Moundsville so a break in the 6 inch main waterline could be repaired. The Moundsville Water Department Maintenance/Distribution Crew fixed the break and restored water service to the customers as quickly as possible.

For our customers’ protection, a 48 hour boil order was put in place following the restoration of water service until sample results were received from the lab in Wheeling.

We just received word that the sample has cleared and the Boil Order is lifted.

We do this to ensure that our customers are receiving the safest and best quality of water available.

Thank you! We appreciate your patience!
