MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. — There's a new option in Marshall County for those looking to hit the gym.


Planet Fitness is officially open for business, having held a ribbon cutting on Thursday morning.

The gym is located on Lafayette Avenue, behind the Long John Silvers.

Management says they've already had a ton of people sign up -- and feedback has been positive so far.


"We're really excited to be here,” District Manager Andrew Tatich said. “Actually, I grew up in Moundsville, it is my hometown, so I was really excited when we had the opportunity to find a space in a community that we can provide a judgement-free environment for."

Planet Fitness is open 7 days a week.
